That makes it a great choice for beginners and for growers who want a quick turnaround.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eGood to Know\u003c\/strong\u003e\u003cbr\u003eBecause half the mix is soybean hulls rather than wood, later flushes can be lighter than the first. It is also too rich for shiitake, which does better on a mix with more wood. If the seal, filter patch or plastic looks damaged, get in touch before using it. Store it upright in a cool, dry spot out of direct sun, and don't stack more than 2 bags high or squash them, as pressure can damage the filter patch or the bag itself. For best results use it as soon as you can, and within 4 weeks.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eEach bag comes sealed with a filter patch. Cut it open to inoculate with grain spawn or culture. You can make your own grain spawn with our \u003ca href=\"\/products\/sterilised-millet-grain-spawn-bag\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"noopener\"\u003esterilised millet grain spawn bags\u003c\/a\u003e. Open it in a still air box or in front of a flow hood, as clean technique makes the biggest difference to your success rate.
